Richard Feynman on doubt, uncertainty and religion

A segment of the BBC interview with Richard Feynman, with his views on knowing his answers to everything. “If it turns out there is a simple ultimate law that explains everything so be it. That would be very nice discovery. If it turns out it’s like an onion with millions of layers and we just sick and tired of looking at the layers then that’s the way it is!” Video and transcript below. Scattering Fred on Terasem beach

Yesterday May 10 the Terasem crowd in Florida scattered the ashes of our beloved friend Fred Chamberlain on the beautiful beach near the Terasem Ashram. The ashes were scattered, but Fred’s brain is stored at the Alcor cryonics facility, and someday it will be possible to retrieve all thoughts, feelings and memories from Fred’s frozen brain, merge them with his extensive mindfile (much more about mindfiles in a forthcoming post), and bring him back to life. Mindfiles and the active side of infinity

My friend Fred Chamberlain recently had his brain placed into cryostasis at the Alcor Life Extension Foundation in Scottsdale. He created a large mindfile, probably one of the most complete created so far, which will be used together with the information stored in Fred’s frozen brain to reconstruct him after cryonic sleep, once the technology is available.
