This is a brainstorm session on how to design and launch a Virtual Turing Church. As usual I am sending this post to several mailing lists, Facebook pages and discussion groups, but I would appreciate it of you could comment on the Turing Church website (commenting is much easier now) to have all inputs in the same place.
Many kids and teens paint or spray irreverent, subversive drawings on walls, doors and everywhere else. One subject has always been a favorite, and now our Spirit has drawn it in the sand of Mars! Continue reading Space street art! Our first graffiti in space
I fell totally in love with Second Life one minute after joining in 2005. A few weeks later I left a very boring but very well paid senior management post in the public sector to became a technology entrepreneur.
Today I found by chance an important bit of personal history: my very first post to the Extropians list, on December 6, 1999. It is interesting to see many of the ideas which I have been thinking and writing about in these 13 years already covered in that first post.
Today I had the pleasure to participate in the August 2012 Discussion Group of the Mormon Transhumanist Association, via Google+ Hangouts. It is good to see that this meeting is becoming more popular, we had 10 participants today, and a very interesting discussion on death and resurrection. Continue reading August 2012 Discussion Group of the Mormon Transhumanist Association

I am happy to see the first essay by avatar extraordinaire, transhumanist thinker Extropia DaSilva on the Turing Church magazine. Read Extropia’s “Holy Singularity!” Her short low-profile bio sketch says just “Extropia DaSilva is a digital person, currently residing in Second Life. Her purpose is to explore how NBIC technologies are redefining concepts of self. She chairs the Thinkers discussion group,” but I want to say something more. Continue reading Welcome to avatar extraordinaire, transhumanist thinker Extropia DaSilva
Last Saturday I had the pleasure to participate in the first Hangout On Air of the Mormon Transhumanist Association (MTA). I also recommend the Q+ Hangouts, a series of online seminars on quantum information and quantum foundations on Hangouts On Air, and I hope also the Terasem Hangouts will be taken On Air soon. Today, June 23, is the Centenary of Alan Turing’s birth in London. During his relatively brief life, Turing made a unique impact on the history of computing, computer science, artificial intelligence, developmental biology, and the mathematical theory of computability.
